Class Title Instructor
Flying Geese Crossing Kimberly Einmo

Flying Geese CrossingThanks to Kimberly's clever design and signature technique for making no-fail flying geese units, this gorgeous quilt is comprised of straight set blocks which give the illusion of diagonally set rows. Only you'll know how easy it is to construct! Flying Geese Crossing is the perfect way to feature one of those luscious precut strip bundles or favorite fabrics from your stash. The best part about Kimberly's signature construction method using her Precision Flying Geese & HST Ruler is there is no math, no wasted fabric, and no stress to make flying geese! Spend the day creating a glorious, one-of-a-kind quilt. Simply bring one Jelly Roll bundle of at least 40 – 2½" strips, plus a quarter yard of a contrasting fabric and 1½ yards of background fabric. You'll finish the class as a pro at making flying geese from simple strips, plus you'll have a great time spending the day learning so many tips and tricks from Kimberly!

Moments Ana Buzzalino

MomentsThis class is divided in two parts. In the morning, students will work on a small project to learn the piecing technique. A kit will be provided with all materials needed. In the afternoon, students will work on creating their own original designs. Each student will work on her/his own piece to be finished at approximately 17" x 24". The focus will be on design based on a favorite object of inspiration. Once the design has been finalized, if time allows, start piecing it! Or use a machine during open sewing! The workshop is based on the techniques used to make Ana's art piece "Moments" which appeared in Quilting Arts Magazine February/March 2008.

Class notes: Holding a quilt seminar on a cruise ship is a unique experience. Sometimes there are space and time challenges that prevent our being able to be "project oriented" and we must concentrate more on process. It is very unlikely that you will have an absolutely finished project at the end of a class. It is helpful if your expectations match these realities. But regardless of how far you are able to progress, our instructors are professionals—some of the best in the quilting world—and we know you will learn many new techniques and have a wonderful experience!
