The “Dragon” quilt received many awards and was the start of Karen winning many local and national awards including seven Best of Show awards. She has published five books: “From Basics To Binding: A Complete Guide To Making Quilts”, “Above & Beyond Basics”, “Love to Quilt...Bears, Bears, Bears”, “Applique Basics: Flower Wreaths", and her newest book "Earthly Delights, The Perfect Finish." Linda Jenkins - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Linda Jenkins and Becky Goldsmith formed Piece O’ Cake Designs in 1994. They met at their local quilt guild in Tulsa four years earlier. Quilting began as a hobby for both of them around 1984. Their hobby has now turned into a full time and very fulfilling career! They have published twenty books and one-hundred fifty patterns. They have also designed nine fabric collections using clear colors, have appeared on four episodes of Simply Quilts, won numerous awards and frequently appear in magazine articles. Linda states that she wishes she had started quilting even earlier in life! She loves all aspects of quilting, but fell in love with needle turn hand appliqué, and students love her simple techniques.

Sharon Pederson - Black Creek, B.C. Canada

Sharon Pederson was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1998, she wrote Everyday Angels in Extraordinary Quilts (published by Martingale) and designed another line of bright and whimsical fabrics. In 2001, she wrote her newest book Quilted Memories/Celebrations of Life (published by C&T). Mary Lou also owns a pattern company, and teaches nationally and internationally.
