KIMBERLY EINMO Tampa, FL

Kimberly Einmo is an author, designer, quilt judge, and international instructor of quilting, machine embroidery and heirloom sewing techniques. Her work has been featured in many publications including her book, Quilt A Travel Souvenir, published AQS, and periodicals such as McCall's Quilting and McCall's Quick Quilts Magazine, American Quilter Magazine, and Japanese Patchwork Tsushin Magazine. Kimberly has designed a line of rulers manufactured by the EZ Wright Co. including the Easy Star and Geese Ruler and the EZ Hearts Cut Tool. Acclaimed both nationally and internationally, she has appeared as on the PBS series America Quilts Creatively. Kimberly has taught classes on several cruises including destinations to the Caribbean and Mexico, with many more international appearances scheduled in 2009 and 2010. KAREN KAY BUCKLEY Carlisle, PA

Karen began quilting in 1983, and in April of 1986 won her first quilting award in a J.C.Penney quilt block contest. Karen's block was joined with fifteen others and exhibited at the Great American Quilt Show in New York City. In the fall of 1986 Karen opened her own quilt shop, The Country Quilt Shop in Philadelphia, and it was a huge success. Karen entered her first major quilt competition in 1991. The "Dragon" quilt received many awards and was the start of Karen winning many local and national awards including seven Best of Show awards. She has published five books: From Basics To Binding: A Complete Guide To Making Quilts, Above & Beyond Basics, Love to Quilt...Bears, Bears, Bears, Appliqué Basics: Flower Wreaths, and Earthly Delights: The Perfect Finish. Karen has had thirteen quilts appear on the cover of major magazines. She is very passionate about what she does, loves designing her quilts and sharing tips and tricks with all her students. CHARLOTTE WARR ANDERSEN Salt Lake City, UT

Charlotte is a lifetime native of Salt Lake City, and since 1983 her specialty has been one-of-a-kind, original pictorial quilts made with either/both appliqué and piecing techniques. Charlotte's quilts have won many prestigious awards; among them a second place in the first Great American Quilt Contest in honor of the Statue of Liberty Centennial, several first places at the American Quilter's Society Show, and two Best of Shows at the Houston International Quilt Festival. Wearable art is another of Charlotte's many talents and her garments have been part of the Fairfield Fashion Shows for six years. Two of her garments have won awards at the AQS Style Show. Charlotte teaches and lectures nationally and internationally and she has authored two books explaining her pictorial appliqué technique, Focus on Features-—Life-like Portrayals in Appliqué and Faces & Places—Images in Appliqué. KATHY MCNEIL Tulalip, WA

Kathy is a quilt artist, teacher, judge and designer who is passionate about the health benefits of creativity. A registered nurse for 35 years, events from her life inspire her pictorial quilted paintings. Kathy loves traveling and teaching nationally about the creative process. Her quilts have been featured in museums, magazines, calendars and the AQS website. Four of the country's top Quilt Museum's have exhibited her work in solo shows. Many of her quilts are in private collections. Kathy feels that Quilts have been the medium for many centuries and in many cultures for women to express their own artistic vision, to give their life color, to make political or social statements, and to preserve family stories. Her work is energized and inspired by this rich tradition. She combines the elements of painting with the tactile and emotional response we all have to fabric. LAURA WASILOWSKI Elgin, IL

Laura Wasilowski is a textile artist, author, teacher, and creator of hand dyed fabrics and threads. She combines vivid fabrics and whimsical stories to make pictorial art quilts. Laura's colorful, hand-dyed fabrics inspire her, as do stories of her family, friends, and home. Her work has been featured in many exhibits throughout the United States as well as Europe and Asia. Laura is the author of two books: Fuse and Tell Journal Quilts and Fusing Fun: Fast, Fearless Art Quilts and a DVD: Laura Wasilowski Teaches You to Create Art Quilts. She has also been featured on Quilting Arts Television, The Quilt Show, Simply Quilts on HGTV and Uncommon Threads on the DIY Network as well as several PBS specials.
