Renaissance Hotel

Located in downtown Seattle, this moderate hotel is well within walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, the Washington State Ferry System, and the world famous Pike Place Market.  The following rates apply for one or two night pre- or post-cruise stay:

Prices are  per person and include transfers airport/hotel, porterage,  breakfast on July 19 and transfers to the ship!

Hotel must be booked through Group Seminars at Sea to secure these rates.  Rates do not include any driver gratuities.  Parking is not included. This hotel is a popular choice among travelers; book early to avoid disappointment.

Quilter’s Seattle Tour/Lunch

Designed especially for you, our Alaska Quilt Seminar at Sea passengers!  If you’re staying the night of July 26th or you have a late flight out of Seattle, why not join us for a special tour and lunch?  You will be picked up at the ship and taken to Pike Place Market, the home of the flying fish, and also home to one of Seattle’s best quilt shops.  After having time to explore Pike Place, you’ll have lunch at The Crab Pot—one of the best-loved and very quirky restaurants in Seattle.  Finally transfer to either the Renaissance or the airport.  Your flight must be after 5:30pm in order to take this tour.  Drop off is only available at the Renaissance or the airport.   Tour requires 30 passengers to run.

Price per person: $106, including tour, lunch and transfer to hotel or airport, and driver gratuities

AIRFARE

We are happy to assist with your airfare.  We will provide a quote from your home city to Seattle based on your travel dates.   If you plan to use frequent flier mileage, please contact the airline directly.  Airfare can also be quoted as part of your cruise package with Holland America Line, however your schedule would not be known until approximately 30 days prior to sailing.  Please note the ship departs at 4pm, many air schedules will require an overnight in Seattle—give yourself at least 2 hours to transfer to the pier and check in!

Reservation information for all tour packages:

Deposit:  A non-refundable deposit of $100 per person will be due at time of reservation for all land packages. 

Final Payment:  Due by April 1, 2009

Hotel Cancellation:  
Up to 60 Days Prior:   $100 deposit is non-refundable.

60 - 46 Days Prior:   50% of fare or $100, whichever is greater

45 Days Prior:   Non-Refundable

Cancellation protection is strongly recommended.

Airfare:  You will be advised of restrictions at the time of ticketing.  Most airfares are non-refundable and must be purchased within 24 hours of reservation.

Insurance: If you have already purchased insurance, it can be increased to cover your land tours.

If you did not purchase insurance for the cruise, but wish to do so at this time or would like to just cover the land and/or airfare  portion of your trip, please let us know.
