Come and create…refreshing new quilt blocks that feature the elongated triangle, the next classic shape in pieced work! This shape has been challenging in the past, but now is easy with Margaret’s AnglePlay templates. AnglePlay takes all the guesswork out of how to cut and sew the long triangle shape, and get perfect piecing results every time! Come and enjoy playing…with block patterns that have the illusion of curves and quilts that seem to contain almost perfect circles with all straight line (and accurate!) piecing and sharp sharp points! Come and see…lots of possibilities for breathtaking new blocks and see lots of ways to make them dance in stunning AnglePlay quilts! Sewing machines will be provided for this class.

Come have fun with traditional patchwork elements, spiced up with the long triangle for an exciting new look to the pieced surface! This design is versatile; you may develop your own version by moving some of the blocks around, or by rotating them in place! So all participants will use the same elements to make their own version of “North to Alaska”, just like the early explorers of our northernmost state!
Sewing machines will be provided for this class.

Bring those blocks and play with many exciting and innovative setting options for them! Participants will try a number of design directions on paper, and go home with at least one (probably more) interesting plans for those old blocks…which will look new again in their attention-getting pieced settings. CLASS NOTE:
Holding a quilt seminar on a cruise ship is a unique experience.  Sometimes there are space and time challenges that prevent our being able to be “project oriented” and we must concentrate more on process.  It is very unlikely that you will have an absolutely finished project at the end of a class.  It is helpful if your expectations match these realities.  But regardless of how far you are able to progress, our instructors are professionals -- some of the best in the quilting world -- and we know you will learn many new techniques and have a wonderful experience.
